Pit Boss Grappling Adults

DETAILS AND REGISTRATION HERE - Via SmoothComp

Experience the future of grappling competition, in a pit! Jump in and have some fun with us!

The PBG exists to support our community as we work together to elevate our sport.

CASH PRIZE POOLS: Black Belt & Absolute Divisions will have a cash prize pool. $30 of each of these registrations will go into a prize pool for the winners. If there are less than 10 registrations in the division, then 1st place will take the entire prize pool. If there are more than 10 registrations, then the cash prize pool will be split 60/25/15 between 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

ABSOLUTE BRACKETS: Our absolute brackets are structured in best of belt/rank pools. This means that competitors will be paired with other competitors of the same belt/rank in the beginning of the bracket, and only the best of each belt/rank will move on to compete against other belt levels in the finals.

Doors will open for weigh-ins at 7 am. Event will start promptly at 9 am. Brackets and schedule will be released the Friday evening before the event.

Our goal is for each competitor to have a fair amount of matches. We will merge divisions as necessary to ensure competitors get matches.

Ruleset is similar to other popular jiu jitsu tournaments with scored 5 minute matches.

1 Point = Solid Submission Attempt (At Referee Discretion)

2 Points = Knee on Belly, Sweeps, & Takedown (If against a wall, one hip and one shoulder of opponent must be grounded for 3 seconds for points to be awarded)

3 Points = Guard pass secured for 3 seconds.

4 Points = Back Mount or Top Mount secured for 3 seconds. (Will count even if against the wall)

No Scissor Takedowns, Reaping, or Heel Hooks for White & Blue Belt Divisions.
